I have a Compact DCS with a SVMi-4 VM system. I also have the hardware/software for CID. I have the AA with a menu to answer the incoming lines. I also programed the CID information to show on the extensions.

The problem is that the CID information is not being displayed. In trouble shooting this, I connected a CID phone to the trunk. The AA is answering the phone after the first ring and appears not to be waiting for the CID info on the second ring. How do I program the system to answer on the second or third ring?

It sounds like your lines at set to ring the voicemail first. You will need to set up a ring group in the Compact and forward trunking in the SVMi-4. The details are more than we can go into in the open forum. You may contact any moderator or administrator via PM for assistance. You may also want to contact your installing company for help in this area.

Are the lines configured as CID trunks on the Compact?

in trunk ring assignment set trunks to ring to the ring group say 501, set over flo to 16 secs(4 rings), next port to be your aa(518)... calls ring 4x then answered by aa card. adjust your timer as needed, be sure to put a dummy member in 501. or whatever group you use.

i reread your question... this is a better solution. if you have cid s/w and have turned on cid trunks, cid allow, then the system will look for cid even if you have it set to answer after the first ring look at mmc 119,mmc for allow caller id, and assign callerid trunks. This sets the cid. put your buttset on the line, get an incoming call after the 1st ring you should hear a data bburst, if u dont you dont have cid lines
