Hi,
I have recently joined a company that use a Samsung DCS Telephone system.
There are about 20 Extentions A main number (xxxxx - xxx006)
Also Direct dial numbers for some extentions.
There is one extention on the system that has a Direct Dial number which when calling from an external source rings fine.
However when you dial 9 on this extention then start dialing the number, after about the 3rd digit, you hear a constant tone (like the sound of a dropped call) and cannot dial an external phone.
Any ideas?
Kind regards
Reuben

All trunks are busy? The station is restricted? Its all really going to come down to more questions. So if you would please give a little more detail about the system. It would help us help you.

I would agree that toll restriction is probably the culprit or if using LCR it's not setup properly. Does the same thing happen if you direct dial a trunk to dial out?

Make sure you put a diplay set on that ext. try to dial out and oberve the display...you get a lot of info that way. it may be as simple as a station lock..
