Hello all, I was wondering if anyone else has any issues with using "Find Me" on a PRI. The problem we are having is that voicemail is making the call to the user on there Cell Phone and has already started playing the greeting " press 1...press 2 etc." long before they have even picked up the phone. During testing, I called in from another line and initiated "find Me" on an extension. Voicemail tells me they are "locating that party", I answer my cell Phone on the 2nd ring, and it is already on "press 5". Sometimes it doesn't even call me. We have tried land lines, other cell phones, etc. Samsung says it is he carrier.... of course. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this one has consumed way too much time. Thanks.

Is the VM set up for partial supervision or full supervision?
It does not sound like a pri issue but I could be wrong.

We did try both types of supervision in VM. Samsung was sure it had something to do with the CLI table in 321 and the output of digits from the voicemail ports, but that did not help either. It just seems that voicemail is having trouble with the silence/"hello" detection. We worked through the "training" the number thing and most of the sound/silence settings as well. I also do not think it is PRI related but Samsung is sticking b there guns on that. We are sort of at the end here. Anyone with ideas? Thanks.

This is not a fix but maybe a work-a-round. Have you tried to pad the number out with the use of adding pauses at the end of dialling.
, - The comma is a one second pause.
\ - The backslash is a four second pause.
W - Wait for answer. On encountering this character, SVMi will monitor the line for an answer from the called station before dialing any additional characters. If no answer is detected within 6 ring back cycles or 3 busy cycles, the call will be recalled.
Hope this helps

So would I place the "w" after the number or before in VM? Would this be in the "extension" part of VM where the "find me" is located? In the "station" portion of "off premise" there is the option for a prefix. Should the "w" be placed in here? It has started to get a bit confusing as Samsung has had us try many, many things.

Do any phone numbers work? Or do they all fail? What is the voicemail hearing that would cause it to start playing the prompts? Do these numbers work on any other systems that you are trying to use?

Are they forwarding to cell phones? I have found that some carriers have a noise and the SVMi thinks the calling party has answered. To fix the problem, I just increased the sound tolerance in the Off Premise Station Block in the voicemail.

Seems like the "W" thing worked. I can't tell you how many hours I have been on "tech support" with Samsung. Is it just me. or are we on our own with this stuff? Thanks to all who replied! Rob

Glad to hear that worked for you Rob. Sometimes I think we are on our own with some of this stuff. We have many system types to install and maintain, they only have one, surely they should know it inside out. My 2 cents worth.
