I am trying to set the mailboxes up on our starmail/prostar 816 system, but cannot find in the manuals how to go about recording the personal message. I can dial into the vmail on ext 36 (or 34) but cannot figure out how to set the mailbox message---Help---any clues???? TIA for any help! :shrug:

Press 1 then press 1 record the greeting save it then press 3 to listen to it.

that solved that problem---but when I try to program the main greeting it says 405 is an invalid function--does the day and night mode need to be set up for this to be valid?? the manual doesn't say Any ideas????

You need to go into Admin/technician programming.
Whoever sold you the system did not leave you any manuals or train anyone?
