Our company recently picked up a customer whose Comdial dealer went belly up. We are not a dealer, and don't have the VMMI software - Version 220 - we need to perform system maintenance on an MP5000. Does anyone have a copy (or know where I can get a copy) for purchase? Our older version can only connect at a restriceted level. Apparently Comdial loves their exclusivity...
Thanks in advance for your help!

I wish I could help. It is not a question of exlusivity it is a question of protecting your dealers that have invested time and money to be certified and have a relationship with a manufacturer. You can become a dealer and spend the time and money to get certified and then Vertical will be more then happy to give you all the help you need. Even if you are going to able to find the software do you really think you will be able to service that account as well as your main brand? If somebody calls me and wants me to work on a Toshiba lets say I tell them to find a certified Toshiba dealer. But that is just me.
There is an existing Comdial dealer in Naples and or Fort Myers maybe you can work out an arrangement with him.

Jim, I can appreciate that point. But we service multiple product lines and do quite well without being certified - although we do advise our customers that we don't have a relationship with the manufacturer in those cases. Unfortunately there are unstable vendors out there that sell product and the consumer is left holding the bag when they can't find someone to take care of them. They usually buy the company more than the product... but any help will be appreciated!
