Have a small Doctor's office and they really want their new system to replicate a couple features of their old system.

1. VM to work like answering machine. I need to make it so that once the main prompt plays, if there is no response it immediately transfers to extension 201 to record the message. I am able to configure button presses to go this no problwm with GOTO MBX 201. However when I set the "no response" to GOTO MBX 201, it doesn't work. It loops around anyway. Must be missing something here.

2. They want to be able to push a button in the exam room and have it "buzz" the 3 phones out in the lobby and lab. I can't seem to find a function for that one.

Lets start with the "buzz"

You need to set up a group for it to "ring" to. Or you need to set up a page zone with those three phones.

The voice mail is a quandary. If you have the system set up for goto on. Then you should also set the "repeat for no entry" to 0 that way it does not replay.

I have a group for 500 that covers those three front stations. I saw in another thread a code MS (Manual Signal)? Will that do it? "MS 500". I don't have a system here to test it on.

I do have the "no-entry" line set to Goto MBX 201, but it doesn't go to the box, it loops around to the beginning of the greeting.

OK, correction, it only loops around once.

In other words it goes to the main day menu and plays 1001 the day greeting, then it REPEATS the 1001 day greeting, THEN it processes the goto mbx 201 for "no-entry".

Very strange.

Also, it yesterday it was picking up incoming calls just fine and going straight to the AA day maneu, but today it is answering the phone with "the party is not available". Nothing was changed in the system between yesterday and today, so not sure what that is about.

Setting the repeat on no entry to 0 will fix the loop.

MS wont do what you are looking for. You need to set up a second group for those three phones.
