Have idcs100 with a pri and the caller id does not filter down to the single line phones. These phones have caller id capabilities. Is the system blocking the info even though the extension is enabled to receive caller id?

HI! Charlie, If you can give more info on software vers. not all versions have the feature, it also has to be turned on i believe in 300.

the software version is b1.38. but the system does anot have a misc3 card installed. thanks

You are running a release 1 system right?
The Misc 3 card is required for caller id to analog ports and the release 1 software does not support the Misc 3 card.So you would need to upgrade to Release 2 which would involve the SMCP card and the Misc 3 card.

IF I upgrade is there a way to back up the configuration so that I don't have to reenter all of the programming?

No... you will need to reprogram the system. You can download the database to use as a reference, but you cannot upload a release 1 database to a release 2 system.
