I have a dsuII switch with small business DOS VM that has two calling groups defined as ext 32 and 33 which are extension ports but do not have station sets installed. They call two different groups of phones and all phones ring in there group at the same time. I cannot figure out how to program an all call group instead of hunt link? Also, when a call is forwarded to voice mail and the listen button is pressed on a station set, they are not able to barge the conversation and retrieve the call from the voice mail. Any suggestions appreciated. ~Redcom

Are you asking about the voicemail port hunt group or a hunt group for phones? I'm not fully understanding the question regarding the groups.

Regarding the Listen/Pickup, how is your serial integration? Are the ports connected in the correct order? If you check your error.log file, do you find any serial port down errors?

Thx.

It is not a hunt group that's the problem. I know how to program a linked hunt group. This is an all call group, I cannot find a referance to programming a group of phones to ring all at the same time, not hunt to first available port, ie., when someone rings station 32 it rings all phones on the switch at the same time, and 33 rings a group of 6 phones at the same time. I now need to figure out how to add and subtract the target stations from the group.

With respect to the VM listen issue I assumed that if you get please enter your password instead of main greeting when you dial the vm group you have integration. I have not reviewed the serial logs but can do so. I believe the ports should be 1/3 and 2/4 in contiguous order, is the correct?

Thanks in advance Bruce.

What your looking for is DCD or Direct Department Calling. The newer software releases allowed for a "ring all" feature. If this is a working feature for you, I would connect a laptop to look at system programming and you'll see which extensions are in each department.

Thanks alot, after investigation I see where you apply the departmental number to a termination station. That's what threw me off calling a station port and getting a group. Any thoughts on the listen button problem to recall vm call in progress to the target station? Should every station with a mail box assigned get this listen button appearance on their display while the call is in progress to their mailbox?

I checked logs on vm there is no serial log however their is an error log I found no errors. I did remove the serial connection from PORT 3 and the listen button no longer appeared on the station sets, returning made the listen option come back but when you press it nothing happens. With respect to the departmental calling I found the software version was 1 Mod 02C, I could not find a referance to all call but departmental dialing is there however in printout of System COS I found all slots open under departmental dialing.

The target station is station 33 and it calls instantly to 10 other stations however when I look under Station COS for this extension and this is what I see. There is a hunt link to the operator
