OK, well still trying to do this and talked with Samsung tech support again and now they tell me the 5100 won't work in non-sip mode over a different subnet for the OS100/500 switches.
Has anyone tried this on a OS100/500?

We had it working at our old office on our house system... which was an OS500. But... that is the system that gave me all of the problems. I have not tried on our new OS7200 system.
What problems are you having? Even on the OS500 system I could get it to register from anywhere. The most frequent problem was the one way audio.

I was uner the impression that you required OS7000 V4.21c or later to use "public" (non-sip) registration of W5100 handsets.

This one brings back bad memories, Officially it is not supported for the OS100 & OS500 and most likly will not be supported, you will have many issues, you need to network to another system at the remote site then work across the link or upgrade systems to new OS7000 series, we tried every thing on one of our systems
