Customer reports that, after thunderstorm, no incoming calls. I found that a few ext., including the first AA port (ext. 157), were in tenant group 0 instead of 1, where they were supposed to be. I programmed the offending exts. back to tenant 1 using a set (not my laptop--I use my laptop for AA/VM prog.)and incoming svc. was restored. However, AA ports 158,159 seem to be set for DND (when dialed, screen says "DND") which is an obvious problem (that I can't seem to solve). Also, a couple of exts. say "Out of Service" in the screen of the calling ext. but the Out of Sve. ext. still calls out IC and CO. I've never seen that msg. before. If I default this system, will that erase all the AA/VM greetings and msgs.? Thanks for any ideas. (Sorry this is so long.)

Are you sure you have an AA module in the system and not a Voice Mail unit doing the AA menus? Those AA modules are as rare as hens teeth.

Your vm will be fine if you do a cold start. Hope you had a recent backup!

Yep, jwooten is right. Had this happen more than once. DB is corrupt. Need to cold start the switch and reload the DB, and all should be well.

I'm not sure it's an AA unit. I didn't know there were separate modules. I thought it was an AA/VM because it answers the incoming CO and no, I don't want to purchase an "in the box AA mod" especially if the price makes you lay down and laugh like that. Thanks anyway. This VM card is the one with the hard-drive. I had to replace it about 18 mos. ago. I do have a back-up, however, it's written. There's not a lot going on with this system. It won't be bad. Thanks for the input. If anybody has any more suggestions, fire 'em out here.

Oh, I'd probably give it away. Worthless pile of junk.
Jwooten is undoubtedly correct, the database is corrupted. Reinitialize and reprogram.
