Hi, I am taking over maintenance of a DX-120 system and have not done much with this system before but have worked on other Comdial systems quite a bit. I am attempting to set up a schedule for night using Routing box 801. I would like to have Box 801 answer at 5 pm and go live at 8 am with a lunch break from 1-2 pm. I currently have the system on live answer until 5 rings then Box 800 answers. I am having some issues getting 801 to pickup. I tried to set this up with VM programming only. Do I need to get back into system programming as well. Sorry, I am a bit rusty on this system. Thanks for any assistance you may offer.

In vm programming look at your "Line Programming" screen. Your Day-Night-Lunch routing boxes should be entered here by default. Look at your "Business Hours" screen. Times should already be entered here by default. Make sure the default night routing box (801) still exists and something is still recorded in it!
Your vm will answer with the routing box/greeting according to the "Business Hours" schedule and may be modified with "Holiday Schedule" if built.
Your vm gets its clock from the 120 only. Even if you place the 120 into evening mode, the vm still answers according to its schedule.
In 120 programming look at "CO Line" programming. Put 433 in the "EVE" box. Command the 120 into "EVE" mode and make some test calls!

Thank you, the last part of your reply about putting 433 in the "EVE" box is what I was not getting right. I plan to go to the site again hopefully on Thurs and will let you know how it goes. Again thanks for your help! smile
