I have recently installed an OS7400 with a Tepri card using a PRI connection. When calling out, the called party receives the phone number that I'm calling from on their call display, but not the name. Is the 7400 capable of sending name and number? The service provider said that it's the phone system that needs to send this information. Any help would be appreciated.

The system is only capable of sending the number. Your carrier will need to send the name.

Along those same lines. The reasoning behind this is fairly simple. They dont want any spoofing, so you might find that if you input a number that is not in the list that you ordered. They may not let the call through at all.

Have your friend put your name & number in his system and let it do the work at that end, I have never seen a spot to enter a name to send over the network
