Question on a 7200 with SVMi-20E. Cannot get the VM to email working. Using exchange with SSL enabled. Is there a way to use a Yahoo or GMail account to do the forwarding instead of the Exchange Server?

You won't be able to get any of the free web based services to work because they don't offer SMTP services.

What version of Exchange are you using?

Did you create a user on the Exchange Server for the voicemail to use to authenticate?

Did you use that user in the System Wide Parameters and the E-Class in the voicemail?

What is the error you are seeing if you monitor the voicemail through Port Activity?

For the Host ID, are you using an actual IP address or the server name?

I just re-read your post...

Are you running SSL on the Default SMTP Virtual Server? If you are... then you will not be able to get the E-Mail Gateway to work with the Exchange Server.

Have you contacted your ISP? Maybe you can use their mail server to send the e-mails out.

Samsung does not support SSL on the 7100 for sure possibly not on the 7200/SVMI either.
You need to send messages to a SMTP with an IP address only so an internal SMTP server seems to be the choice.

The SMTP server does not need to be internal, you just need to use the host IP address and not the host name.
