Ver 2.1
Numbers under Bar Code on back of phone
*2N9E290149* KPDS24SED/XAR
I have tried to get this phone to work on the system. I have tried every 24B combination that showed in menu *****.
To make sure I was programming the right extension, I plugged an IDCS28D in the jack and changed the type and it worked just fine.
Are these phone compatible on the 7100's? How about the 7200's?
Thanks for the help.

Those phones were designed to work the 616 system only. They will not work with any other system.

I was beginning to suspect that was the problem. Thanks for the info.

No problem... the DS24D is the only phone in the Samsung inventory that I know of that will only work with one system. All other phones will work with any of the newer systems. The 24B you were seeing in programming is the old 24 button DCS phone. Those phones will work with the 7000 series systems, but they need to be firmware 2.1 or higher.

The DS24D handsets were released in Oz as an entry level handset, they did work on the 7100 series systems prior to the latest software release, but they were not intended to work on them, so there is no garantee of how well they will work

It's interesting how Samsung will do something for different markets, here in NZ the DS24D's will work on almost all systems but only after a country default to NZ.
Samsung, Ericsson, NEC, Nortel Certified Installer
