We have an Officeserv 7400 that's been misbehaving. Every couple of days or so its IP address becomes unpingable to all PCs on the network - except to the one collecting SMDR data AND said pc stops receiving SMDR data fromm the 7400.
The only way to get around this is to reboot the 7400.
I see MJE04/5 errors in the log. There are no IP conflicts anywhere.
Any ideas?

Those codes are MGI network error and mgi network recovery. Neither code points to the processor card.
What do the other logs say? is the system still usable?

Software levels? MP/LP software MGI software
~ Marty Sometimes there ARE ghosts in the machine. I use MSN Live, ask me for the addy if you want. Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience http://www.vernontelecom.com

Are you running IP phones, or any desktop apps? Is there a VLAN? If so, what is the router between the VLANs?

Dave I'm running 3 IP phones, the only desktop app is Callware, which does my call reporting by tapping into SMDR. There is one. I have an iDcs100 in a warehouse about 5 miles away connected via a MPLS circuit -using a Cisco Iad2400 (so they can do 3 digit dialing between sites). I only have one user there.

Hey there! Just wanted to say thanks to all who responded.
We ran the 4.30i update. The IP address no longer disappears as before, -BUT- I still lose the ability to connect to it. It's almost like it closes a range of IP ports.
This brings me to my next question. What's the range of ports a 7400 uses? The IT 1.30b app I'm using uses port 5090 and callware looks for port 5100.

What happens if you disconnect from the LAN and connect directly with a xover cable to the processor? Can you ping then?
