I got to make sure i understand this right. Please explain! If i got a 7400 with 32 mgi channels at location "A" and a 7200 with 16 mgi channels at location "b". How many calls can they have simutanously between them. Be specific!. If all the calls from "B" go to "A" and if all the call from "A" go to "B".
System 7400 has SVMI 20E with 8 ports, 16 trk card, PRI ard, (2) 16MGI and an 8x8 card. 52 ip phones, 3 digitals.
System 7200 has SVMI 20E, 16 trunk, 8x8 and 16mgi. 68 Ip phones and 3 digitals.
Right now they have 15 trunks at school A and 9 trunks at school B. In february they will be switching over to a PRI.
I accepts any recommendations!!

The maximum would 16 because you only have 16 MGI channels at the one location. Again... that is the maximum, but it could be less. Does the site with the MGI16 also have any ITP phones? If they do, then one of the ITP phones could be using an MGI channel at any given time.

I just re-read your post to see you have a lot of ITP phones, so most likely some of your ITP phones will be using some of those MGI channels. With 68 ITP phones, I would suggest adding a second MGI card to the system.

Yes the site with the 16 MGI has 68 ITP phones. The two sites connect via fiber. I was under the impression ITP to ITP uses no MGI channels. Am i wrong. Should I add another MGI to the school that only as 16?
I only had 16 MGI because there was a 4 port voice mail and 9 trunks, that is 13 ports that when using a ip phone use an mgi channel.

When calling ITP to ITP on the same node, no MGI channels are used. When calling ITP to ITP on a different node, you will use an MGI channel.

Don't forget. When ever you talk to a Analog Trunk, PRI, VM or Digital phone, you use a MGI channel.
