I have been trying to get my PC to connect to my Prostar DCS. I made a cable per the book. 25pin 2 -- 3 9pin 25pin 3 -- 2 9pin 25pin 7 -- 5 9pin 25pin 20 -- 4 9pin
I hooked up the SIm and it is recognized by the system. I try to connect but the system won't come on line. (I get DTR light on the SIM)... (Power light blinks-unsure if that right or wrong)
I set up defaults for baud in PC and DCS so they agree. What should other settings be? Tried a few different thing but still no ON-LINE.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Got it going... Broke a wire on my cable after I made it... also found it does not work with my USB-Serial Adapter.
But I'm good to go.
Tks

A "smartcable" is always a lifesaver also. Then it sets itself up. No worry about what pin goes where.
