I have an OfficeServ 7200. Can anyone tell me how many digits the PRI can pass to the PBX? I believe this defined in the DID Number and Name Translation programming section. I'm switching phone providers and they are asking this question. I reviewed the Programming manual and I read that the DGT: Digits to be received from CO can be up to 16 digits. Can anyone help me with this answer?

To keep it simple, find out how many you are receiving now... and tell them to send that number.

I noticed in my DID Number program section in the OfficeServ manager I am passing 4 digits and then I also see there are two 10 digit numbers entered as incoming digits (these are our 800 numbers). I spoke with my phone vendor she thought that the PBX could only pass 4 digits. After reviewing the DID programming I not sure what the answer is now b/c it looks like I'm passing 4 digits and 10 digits.

From what I have normally seen is that 800 Numbers are forwarded to a DID and translated normally via 4,7,or 10 digits. Remove the 10 digit 800 number and see if it still rings through to its destination. If so you are probably only getting 4 digits. And tell the new telco thats what you want.

If those are valid 800 numbers that you own, and you know where they ring, I'd just turn off the CID allow setting for the extension they ring at, call the 800 number and the display will show you what DID they come in on.

Oh, and I forgot to add but I've passed 10 digits, 7 digits and 4 digits on the Samsung.

So I removed the 10 digit 800 numbers from the programming and the calls still came through. I later found the 2 800 #'s have the same last 4 digit extension that was also already in the programming. So then I did another test. I edited an existing incoming digit and type the 10 digit extension rather than just the last 4 digits. The call did not come through to the extension. Once I entered the last 4 digits back into the programing the incoming call rang the phone extension. In conclusion, I've determined that my OfficeServ 7200 can only pass 4 digits from the PRI.

Thanks for everyone's help!
