every couple of hours it reboots, any ideas

What system is this in?

Also is this hooked up to the internet??? I have seen a constant ping to the voicemail cause this issue as well.

500 r2 2.76a, and it is on the internet for programmin and email gateway but does not have a constant ping!

Two power supplies or one? Fully loaded system? If you have an open slot that you can move it to that will put in on the other power supply(assuming you have one), That's where I'd start and see what happens.

Check to see how many messaged are on it.You might have an unkown mbx full of messages.

OK, which cabinet is the svmi8e in? If its in the 2nd cabinet you might be over the port limit.

2 hrs time left, and its in the first cab

2 hrs of time left on an svmi8e is not much. Do you know if its a flash card or hard drive? Is this a very busy system with lots of vmail traffic? I would be checking port activity to see if there is an offending mailbox. I'd also look at the temp folder and see if there is a buch of .tmp files in it. Since you are low on time what may be happening is its filling up that last couple of hours forcing a reboot. Maintenance only happens once a day where it purges any deleted messages, which may gain it enough to function temporarily, but the cycle just starts over again. I'd focus on getting the number of hours up on this thing first, then see what happens.

The other possibility here is looking at your Cab 1 configuration it will actually run on one PSUB. If PSUB 2 has failed, you would be over the port limit for one power supply which might cause something like this. I say this just so you can make sure its still functioning. Since you don't have another slot you can move the voicemail to the only way to see if its a power supply issue is to roll them and see what happens.
