Not sure where to start on this. We have an IDCS100, not sure what AA we have. Not even sure the IDCS100 is correct, that's what on the outside of the box in back that we reboot if something goes wrong. The tech manual they gave me for programming says DCS prostar on the top of each page, and DCS compact on the front. Hope you're not as confused as I am :p
This system was setup years ago and ran fine. No one remembers who set it up, no one has the password for programming anything over the 200 MMC group.
Now we are having several issues with the system.
Trunk 701 is dead, no sound, doesn't dial out and I believe this is causing an issue where a customer calls in, it rings twice and then hangs up on them. Small office so it's not a matter of us not getting to the phone. Sometimes the phone will ring for the operator with no line lit, if we try to pick it up, it will not let us, and I assume this is also being caused by the trunk being dead.
Our voicemail is acting up. All calls forwarded to voicemail gets the message "message storage unit is full" All mailboxes were emptied and phone system power cycled with no resolution of the error.
Last issue is one of our lines (the operators) will just randomly start beeping for no reason. Started with the trunk dying issues, so no idea if it's an alarm that the trunk is broke, or a this phone will self destruct in 10 minutes thing
I went to school for programming and just do our website here so this is beyond me. All our guys here are printer techs and such so while we have a lot of theories, we don't know how to go about resolving these issue(s).
Understand if you guys can't or won't post resolutions for free. We repair copiers so we know how it goes, just need to know if this is something we need a repair guy out to repair, whether the problems will be expensive enough that upgrading the entire system would be worthwhile, or if it's something we should just keep researching because it's fairly easy to resolve.
