I have deployed a new 7100. For some reason the auto attendant only answers "the extention you have dialed is not available try another" I have contacted Tech suppport and they verify I am set up correctly, they have nothing else to offer, I have defaulted both the 7100 and the vm. I have overflowed 500 to 519, all I have are 201 and 202 in 500 and if no one answers, then I want the auto attendant to pick up, Any Ideas? I believe the auto attendant does answer but not with the correct day greeting, I have verified that it is in day mode and that the default message is there.

Make sure you do not have a mailbox for group 500. Also... try using group 501 instead of the Operator group. If you use group 501, make sure you don't assign a mailbox to that group.

Thank You, That did the trick, this was my first 10a revision, It seemed on previous installs that this was out of the box setup, either way it worked and thanks again

I am having the same issue as described above. Just installed a 7100 w MP10A V4.53. I tried the fix given above, but still having the same problem. I did delete the mailbox for 500 in subscriber administration. Also, in the ring plan MMC it says that the current RP is 1, this is grayed out. I tried changing it to 2 in MCC 744, but it didn't work. I tried manualy changing it, still did not work. Help!

Delete the extension and mailbox block for what ever group you are overflowing to vm.

The embedded voice mail will re-create the extension block for group 500 every time you delete it. Move your ringing group to 501 (or something else) and make sure there is no extension block or mailbox for it. Also, set your group to NONE for voice mail create subscriber so the system won't try to make it for you after a reboot.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
