I have a customer with a 7200 v4.30i and an MGI 16 v1.24. They have one external IP phone. All of a sudden that IP phone has been droping its connection. They reset the phone and it is good for a short time then loses connection again. They have VoIP on the LAN and they work fine.

Try a constant ping from the customer site back to the switch to see if the connection is dropping.

does the phone stay off-line until reset or does it come back on its own?

The customer said they have to reset the phone to get it back on line. I haven't been able to do the constant ping yet. I will try it this week. Thanks

on the system side they are using a PC with Untangle software for the firewall and it looks like they are using the actiontec dsl modem and no router.

Some Linksys routers do no work well with the system. I have seen two exactly identical routers set up on two locations and one work. The other never work.

What is the connection port and voice port number for the keyset. When you are looking at the system programming?
