A customer just replaced their Cadence VM8A on their Prostar DCS 99.04.20 V4.2
Now that the new voicemail is in, Calls are ringing 500 and going to Mailbox 500, not AA greetings. In Night mode, all calls ring 529, goes to AA as it should. In the day, I have all trunks ring 500. Mailbox 500 forwards messages to 200 and deletes out of 500. I’m sure I’m missing a small step, but how can I have all trunks go to AA and when caller dials “0” goes to a general mailbox?

500 settings;

500 rings unconditionally,
overflow 030 sec.

In the voice mail, go to menu, direct trunk and put in 500 to go to day menu. Do the same for trunk forward.

Forward trunk and forward station settings are all you need. But the direct trunk wont hurt. Direct trunk only reads the DT code. You are looking for the NT,TS,TT and NS codes. Actually all you need is the forward station but sometimes it reads the wrong code. So better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the help, I cannot get it to work. The customer replaced the Cadence themselves then called me in to get the single digit menu to work. Now I am going to default it and reprogram it. It has been a long time since I have defaulted a Cadence. Can someone please help me out with this? I can find everything but my Cadence manual.

Oh my bad I was thinking it was a svmi so my fix wouldn't work. I'm not 100% sure but I'm thinking you just need to program 501 to overflow instead of grp 500 and make sure the ext/box isn't in the vm. 500 is the operator group.

I tried that too. I was playing with all the settings for a few hours. The only thing I don't remember is how to get into Level 2 programming via laptop and opton 3 via keyset. I cannot remember the passwords for the life of me. Could there be something in there?
