I'm in a bit of a bind. The system worked before, but the flash card on our SVMI-4 went out and I have no way of getting the software back that was already on it as the card is now blank (ie the software is gone!!!)

Does anyone have a way to talk to someone to get the software back? I keep calling Samsung but it gets disconnected everytime.

Help!

PS.
The card is in a Prostar DCS Compact.

You have to get it on a card from Samsung or buy a "refurb-ed" one.

The flash is formatted for them specifically for the software. How did the software just disappear?

To make this matter worse, the 4 was discontinued some time ago.

I'm not sure. I plugged the card into my CF reader and there wasn't anything on it. I clearly remember there used to be a bunch of files. I mean we have the system up here now, shoot I'd take a picture of it just to prove we own it, but I need those files. Can anyone chime in?

It doesn't matter if you own the system, if the files are no longer on the card you will need to get a new card from Samsung. As was stated in the previous post, the CF card is specially formatted and you will need to get another card.

I would suggest calling your local dealer. Feel free to contact WRichey or me via PM if you need more information.

Yup.

I was not doubting you owned the system or the card. But if the files are gone it must have been formatted. Unfortunatly Marc may be correct may not be able to get the card from Samsung.

Call Communications Experts Group up in your neck of the woods. They can probably get it handled for you pretty quick. Also C2M Tech is near you and can handle things very well.

If you need there numbers by all means pm me and I will get them to you.

Guys, I really appreciate it. I had a Telecom salesman come in today soliciting; I threw him for a loop lol.

Thanks a ton.
