We have a OS7400 system that we bought in a auction. The system is from 2006 (I checked the warranty info and it started in 2006). It came with no software, so i bought the latest which was 4.30i. Installed it. The cards in it are a 64 MGI, 16MGI, 8x8, SVMI20E and a two 8 trk cards. When we try and install a 16 trunk card, the system does not see it. The same goes with a 8trk2 card. The only card it sees is the original 8trk cards. We've spoken with tech support and they were looking further into but we still have had no luck. Any help.

Have you tried defaulting the system? Did you do a "Pre-Install" of the card before you put it in the system? Have you upgraded the LP40?

Hey Marc hope you had a Merry Christmas.

If you remember this is the system a couple months ago we could not get these two cards working. We did not upgrade the LP40 so that will be the next thing we do. As far as I know we just installed the 4.30i software. I hope that fixes it.

My next question will be is then, I see 2 software version for the LP40. One says its for the 4.4x but will work with older versions. Is this the right software? Its LP40 version 1.23.

Also theres a download for the 7400 called LCP 4.12. I thought the LCP was on the 7200?

We have tried defaulting the system multiple times. And yes we did do a pre install of the card. The LP40 version is currently 1.20.

You may have a mix of cards ( blue or black printing on the face). There was a change to make cards hot-swappable.

You'll need to upgrade the LP40 to version 1.23. My guess is that is the problem.

I forgot to mention... the reason you see software for the LCP is because you can use an OS7200 cabinet as an expansion cabinet for the OS7400. If you use an OS7200 cabinet you will need to use the LCP to make the connection between the two cabinets. The latest version for the LCP is version 4.17, but you only need the LP40 software.
