Hi, Is it possible at a customer level to change the auto attendant message directly from a handset? It goes directly into "PRESS 1 for ...". I'd like to make it more hospitable i.e "Welcome to ..." and then give options etc.
I have a dcs 816 fitted with a card labelled 816D AA.
regards

The first thing you need is the AA Play & AA Record buttons on a display phone.
Do you have these programmed?

Yes. Buttons are programmed. However I'm not sure what the location of the messages is. Is there any easy way to check ?

press the aa play button. It will ask you for the AA number dial 381. It will then ask for message number. 01 is the first message, it will then go to message 02.
Make a note of all the messages used in the order is plays.
The 816 AA is a bit like a tower of bricks, if you re-record message 01 you will need to re-record all other messages.
