We had a power outage. When the power came back on our unit has no power. Is there a fuse or something that could have blown?

Yes the power supplies do have fuses in the I think there are 2 or 3, but have never actually tried to replace them, we usually just replace the power supply, be sure to turn off the power switches, before pulling the power supplies

There are fuses in the PSUB. Found this out the hard way when we (well me) hooked up the battery backup in reverse.

I'm sure there are fuses in the PSU 60 also.

I make no money on this, but for about 20 years I have used one millionth of a second surge protectors from EFI in Utah.

They are great and not expensive. Most of the cheap surge protectors have a response time like 7 milliseconds, during which time your unit is fried.

Thanks, Bunnie

I see this alot with older 500's, the switch mode psu's just die, they will be working fine, then you turn them off and they don't come back on.

I have yet to see a fuse blow on any of the samsung system PSU's.

Plenty of dead psu's from various systems but no fuses blown

I also had them just die after turning the power off so always try and carry spares to any job with a 500 fault.

Once had a dual cab 500 and all 4 psus died when i powered it off frown

Awesome --- we were able to get 1 cabinet up and running by switching around psu's.

Ok.... so really odd thing here. We took the two PSU's from the bottom cabinet and switched them with the top. The bottom cabinet is up and running so we figured something was up with the PSU's in the top one. Just for fun we turned on the power to the top cabinet and it all lit up. So now everything is working. Did I still have a bad PSU?

You could, the questionable PSU that you moved to the 2nd cabinet may not be used. It all depends on how many cards you have in that cabinet and where they are located.

2nd cabinet is full. I assume both are used.
