Have a customer complaining about the sound of paging not being"crisp" on a 7400,any thoughts

Both, replaced an old comdial and they sware the paging was "crisper" on the comdial?

I assume you have adjusted the speaker/horn volume and the page volume on the keysets.

Are your impedance matching between the amp input and phone system? You may also have a ground loop so you could try using an isolation transformer or as simple as a ground lifter.

If you have analog ports try paging from them and see if there's any difference.
