Hello all,
I am an installer putting in an OS7200-S for a law firm. They have request to use what they refer to as "Matter Codes" for long distance calling. Local calls would no be restricted in anyway and the codes that they put in would not need to be verified by the phones system.
Quite frankly I beating my head agaisnt a wall trying to come up with the best way to acomplish this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's set up with their local carrier, not you. Here, there's no charge to do it.

The 7200-s is capable of doing non verified account codes and is mainly used in conjunction with call accounting software for billing purposes. The problem with the way Samsung uses them is if you tell a station to use non verified account codes it makes you put an account code in for all outbound calls. To restrict it to long distance you must program toll restrictions but then that makes you use authorization numbers, (which are always verified against a table)so you must maintain a table every time they add a new client even at that rate there are only 500 entries available. Samsung needs to add an option for non verified authorization codes to make this work properly. They already have the option to replace the account field SMDR with authorization numbers so all they need is the option for non verified authorization numbers.

There is a way around the issue that bmreen is talking about. It involves using the toll override table in MMC709.
PM me if you want more information.
