I have a idcs500 system that I was called out to because lines were not ringing at correct extenions. I found that the Station Group assignment was blank. All other programming seemed to be present. I was able to program group 5000 and save it. When I tried to save additional groups 5003, 5004 and 5007 every time I went back into MMC 601 they were not there and the data base had not been upgraded. I did a system reset, tried reloading from the SMDB, nothing seemed to work. Other MMC's such as trunk assigment, key programming etc work fine. Any Ideas as what to try next or what may be wrong?

Are you programming via KMMC or PCMMC (OSM)?
If PCMMC, make sure you have the correct version for your system version, as station groups seem to be 1 of the things that have strange things happen to them when you miss match OSM and MCP versions.
