Hi

Upgraded 7200 LCP card from 4.14 to 4.18. During upgrade power failure. Anybody have an idea how to recover this card. Another problem. OS100 MGI16 card lost it's PGM file. Shows bootup in hyperterminal but I can't do anything else. When trying to change server ip address it does not respond.

Thanx

For the LCP card - yes it can be recovered via the SIO port per instructions you can get from Samsung.

I've asked the local Samsung support. They don't know. The instructions I get from them is for LP40 via a lan port. The LCP has no lan port. Noisycow can you perhaps pm me instructions.
Thanx

MIA Samsung issued a cheat sheet "How to upgrade LP40 software through LP40 LAN port" specifically for cases where upgrade is interupted. I have PM you last night.

Can you get Samsung over there to authorize payment for Samsung support over here? I've not used them but there is some company that has taken over Samsung support and you can hire them over the phone and even to come on site (well maybe not to South Africa unless you have some spare Krugerands lying around.)

Its possible Samsung support in SA is not equivalent to what we have here due to volume of sales, but they should back you up.

Maybe one of the guys can web into your system, do you have a static IP? I'm not that smart, but others are.

And, I wouldn't put one of these in without battery backup, that is always part of a proposal.

Thanks, Bunnie

I will try to locate it. Samsung sent it to us last year.

Can't find it, I'll ask our service manager about it. I know for sure the LCP can be upgraded/recovered via the SIO port though. Samsung tech support in Texas should have it.
