I have a customer with an OS7100 with an MP10a with 4.24a software. We have defaulted the system and reprogrammed by hand and have not solved the following problem.
Every morning at 3:00am when the voice mail does maintenance the system does a Watchdog Reset.
If a user has his phone set to forward all calls externally, when he comes back into the office his phone is set back to only forward calls no answer.
He loses forward 1 and his phone goes back to forward 3.
I think the customer has had power issues and hope that it is not a damaged MP10a because of a power surge.
Thanks all,
MikeS

There is a system initialization and a voicemail initialization, did you initialize the v o i c e m a i l or just the system.
We had an intractable problem with the first 7100 we put in and only after initializing the voicemail did the problem go away.
Just doing an 811 will NOT solve your problem, at least not most likely.
Resetting the voicemail is an option using the computer programming.

If I install a new SD card with the latest sofware on it, upload the database and move the voicemail files over, will I get back all vmail messages and greetings PLUS all of the previous email gateway settings or do I have to set up email gateway again?

You should, but you don't need a new SD card. Just upload the new files onto the current card and use it tool to change the ini file and reboot, then delete the old files.
Make sure you have a db backup before rebooting.

I am ordering an SD card as a backup card anyway. I should have a spare just in case.

Ill second what bmreen said! and upgrade would be your best bet. I wouldn't worry about a new SD card. Samsung's GSBN site has a upgrade procedure for all platforms and its really a piece of cake.
