To use MPS you need to have no MGI on, *AND* ip handsets, digital handsets don't use MPS.

The OS7100 only need UDP 40000-40031 (8 MPS Channels) the OS7200 needs UDP 40000-40127 (32 MPS Channels per OAS Card)

Download this little freebie program - pfportchecker

https://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm

You setup your laptop on the network using the same IP address as your phone system (obviously unplug the phone system from the network first) then this program will allow you to test any port number in TCP or UDP you like to see if its forwarded to your IP or not.

Was fantastic in helping me prove to an IT guy that his Cisco was not forwarding UDP 30000-30031 as he said it was was. Turned out that the programming was correct, but due to a bug in the Cisco he had to remove the range of ports and reprogram them individually. Then it worked perfectly and viola - speech was reliable...

Took me nearly a year to prove him wrong.

Cheers, Dave.
