Hi All,
Does anyone know the specs on the battery on the MEM card on the DCS Compact? Friends is dead, so every time there is a power failure all programming is lost, we are putting a UPS on the system, but would like to replace this.

If anyone can PM me the voltage and if its rechargeable or not, Im assuming its a 1/2 AA 3.6v Lithium rechargeable like on really old PC motherboards.

Its a NiCad, and 3.6v sounds right (You could probably use a Li-Ion or a NiMH).
The Compact in Australia was a short lived system. You would be better off upgrading rather then repairing

In the US, the Compact was a plastic case and used a 3.6 volt NiCd battery and I think the Compact you guys had was a metal case that was equivalent to a 50si or an iDCS100, but they all took a 3.6 volt battery and you can certainly use a NiMh to replace it and they pretty well match in voltage.

Don't know if you will find a lithium that matches 3.6 volts. Just make sure you match polarity and you can read that off the motherboard as it is always trying to recharge the battery.

Our compact was plastic like the DCS, didn't last long, was replaced by a DCS70 (which is called a Compact II in other markets)
