I have a problem with auto attendant in OS7030, v4.40.

When the outside caller ring to the system , will listen to the following message " welcome to .. if you want to talk with Accounting please press 1,or press 0 for assistant ".

The outside caller have three a possibilities as follow :

1)Outside Caller listen to the message then hang up the call, without dialing any number .

In this case, the auto attendant port will be busy,for one minute then will be free .

2)Outside Caller listen to the message,then press 1 to talk with
Accounting then hang up the call before the Agent answer the call .

In this case, the auto attendant port will be busy,for one minute then will be free .

3)Outside Caller listen to the message,then press 1 to talk with Accounting then the Agent answer the call .

In this case, no problem with auto attendant port .

The reverse polarity is enabled on All external lines (CO) .

Please I need help in the programming of Auto attendant, to programming auto attendant port to become free when the Outside Caller hang up the call .

It sounds like the system isn't detecting the hangup. If your telco only uses polarity reversal rather than loop disconnect you will have to install a PRS module for each line on the 4TM board and program the MPD/PRS SIGNAL MMC and PRS DET TM in TRUNK-WIDE TIMERS MMC to match the type of polarity reversal provided.

OTOH, if loop disconnect is provided program CO SUPV TM in TRUNK-WIDE TIMERS MMC to match the minimum duration of break.

Actually, the 4TM might do PRS out of the box and only need a module for MPD, anyone have a definitive knowledge on this ?

I have had the same problem, and it took a long time to be resolved by Samsung. Actually is solved.

The problem arises when from the public line the call is hanged up before being attended. The Samsung PBX does not recognize the busy signal and the call is not ended, then the line is released after 1 minute.

In the V4.53b version of OS7030 it was solved at least for my country (Argentina).

Where are you from? (You need to know the right frequency and the ON and OFF times for the busy tone according to the standard designated by the ITU)

Try updating the version of OS7030 to V4.53b, and set in 2.1.5 the frequency for your country, and set the option in 5.7.4 with the maximum and minimum for your country.
You must set the correct parameters in 5.7.1 too.

I've programmed the OS7030 as follows:
MMC 812 Select country
Australia

After I updating the version of OS7030 to V4.53b .

I setting the option in 5.7.4 with the maximum and minimum for My country(jordan),1.2sec as minimum & 4.8sec as maximum.

Also I set the correct parameters in 5.7.1 , continuous


But I dont find any option in (2.1.5) to enter the frequency of my country .

The same Problem still appear

The busy tone frequency for each country must be changed in MMC 861 (The last option in screen 2.1.5) If Jordan is not in the list, then you must find a country with similar frequency parameters in the ITU standard, or asking Samsung.

The maximum and minimum for Jordan is not 1.2 sec and 4.8 sec:

Tone type / Fraquency / Cadence ON / Cadence OFF
BUSY TONE I / 400 / 0.75 / 0.75
BUSY TONE II / 420×40-440+400 / 0.5 / 0.5

In 5.7.1:
Busy: 15/15/10/10
CO Busy: Busy: 15/15/10/10

In 5.7.4:
Busy Tone: 730 / 780 / 730 / 780

But in the second case the problem is still appear

2)Outside Caller listen to the message,then press 1 to talk with
Accounting then hang up the call before the Agent answer the call .

In this case:

a) the auto attendant port will be busy
b) the call will be transfer to that dialed extension , & the extension will remain ringing for 10 seconds

c)Then the call will be transferred to the operator & the telephone will be ring untill the agent lifts the handset .

Please note that In my system the reverse polarity is detected by OS7030, but is not detected by SVM
