Hi,
I'm trying to register a SMT-W5120 phone to an OfficeServ 7200 but this fails with "invalid ip addr"
I'm using a non Samsung Access point which is working fine. The phone registers to the access point and acquires an IP address from the DHCP pool. The phone is ping-able whilst wifi on the phone is up.
I have used the IP address of the MP20 card as I have with a wired IP phone which works fine.
I guessing there are some additional settings for wireless that I'm missing.
Any advice to fix this would be appreciated. I'm running OS7200 V4.53b.
Thanks again.

Is this a local WIP Phone or a remote WIP Phone?
Remote WIP need port 8000 forwarding....
Are you registering in Non SIP mode?

I am working local to the switch. I've connected a laptop to the AP and can ping the switch.
The registration process is as follows: Registration System 1 Non SIP Mode Standard DHCP FON Setting: Off System IP Addr: <MP20 ip addr> SSID Setting: Auto SSID List: <Pick SSID> Input User ID: 3301 Input Password: <password for 3301> QOS (WMM): Off Encryption Key: <password for SSID> "Proceeding" "Searching" [Signal strength bars appear] "Invalid IP Addr" "Unregistered"

First I would turn on QOS. Second, make sure that VOWLAN is turned on. By default, its off. At least here in the states. Also what kind of security is on the WAP. I have seen problems with certain types of security on the WAPs.

Is the MMC849 option "Static WIP policy" enanbled? If not you must enter the IP addresses on MMC 848 table. If you want to use DHCP enable this option.

I am having issues connecting it remotely... I get it to register if I am Local(in the office) but when I put my World Wide IP address, just like I do with the IP phones, it will not register. Any thoughts?
