Just installed a new 7100 with 28 btn iDCS sets and 1 analog cordless. When using any outside line on any iDCS there is static that varies from background noise to overriding static. But the lines are clear and on the analog cordless all is fine. This is in Northern California rural area not AT&T but Frontier. Could it be a line level issue? Any thoughts? Any volume level adjustments?

Is this on a T1?
If so, I would have Frontier adjust their transmit levels (raise, I would think) and see if that remedies the problem.

Yes, only external calls. And only on the iDCS digital phones. The lines sound good on test set and on analog station ports.
