just got asked a wierd question for the first time. -- i have a 2 cabinet 7100 system, no IP phones, just digital and one single line card. It is on the customer network, but only for Email Gateway use. Their network is bogging down during times when there is high call traffic (and pc use too)-- they want to know how much bandwidth the phone system is using - is there a data sheet on how much a call uses? oh, they are on a PRI too - i kinda thought is was such a small amount if any that it wouldnt have any effect on things - am i wrong?
-I appreciate your time and help-

Depending of the codec the calls can weight more or less. Aprox. values:
- G729a: ~12Kbps in LAN / ~32Kbps through public network. - G711: ~64Kbps in LAN / ~90Kbps through public network. - Email Gateway doesn't have constant traffic, depends of the use and call lenght and codec.
