Hi
OS7400 with 5 Gigaset IP580 phones. Been working for a while no problems. Since Tuesday the sip extensions shows busy all of a sudden. Have to do system reset to get them working again. Only funny thing is in the alarms. It shows the following.
MJB01 01/12/12 10:50:38 HDLC Comm Error CABINET:1 MJB01 01/12/12 10:50:44 HDLC Comm Error CABINET:3 Anybody know what this means or what can cause this issue Ver 4.51
Thanx

HDLC comm error, means that the c1 and c3 are having communication issues with each other.
Since the sip extensions reside in a virtual cabinet which is run by c1 that's your issue.
You need to figure out whats causing your comm issues

Your LCP is old software version should be 4.19 or 4.20.
Based on your alarms you have it connected as cabinet 3 not 2, this *shouldn't* matter, but i've never done it that way.
I assume you have set the exp cabinet type as OS7200.
Also 4.51 was never fully released here, we ended up with 4.53c

Definately reconfigure for cabinet 2. Ive seen sites configured incorrectly in this way and give strange issues.
Re the SIP Phones, are they station paired to "desk phones". If so, are these phones in an unconditional ring group?
I guess i'm trying to see if you have the SIP extns in a unconditional ring group via station pair. If you have, i've seen this busy out SIP extns and the only way to clear is a reboot.

Can't wait for 4.6x software, sip extensions in unconditional ring groups will finally be supported (amongst other sip enhancements)
