I have two 7200S networked. Used the 2.12 Networking over IP "special apps" guide. Network is working because I can direct dial a remote station (ex. 301) from a local (ex. 201). However, when I setup a NS301 button on ext. 201 it will not ring the remote station.

I have this working on a previous 7100 networked system. I've compared 7200S config to previous 7100 and can't find the problem.

Any ideas? I'm onsite doing the cutover, so probably will be a long night. Thanks in advance.

Gerrya, I'm not as familar with how "virtual extn" are used. However, I don't think they work over SPNet. This was straight forward on my two networked 7100s after I got all the Network\LCR working with the NS button for remote stations and DS for local. I call myself "mirroring" the core 7100 config to the 7200s. Not sure if I'm just missing something or if there is just addtional changes needed on the 7200S. When I program the NSxxx button it isn't giving an error...just not doing anything. At least with an error I would have something to go on. It will be tomorrow before I can call my Samsung Distributor for help. Just hoping a forum guru would know where to start checking so I could complete the cutover. Going line by line isn't the easiest thing to do on DM.

That's a strange one, if you can dial between systems by using the 3 digits extension numbers, then the NS key should work.

What happens when you press the NS301 key?

If you can send me downloads I can have a look and see if anything stands out.

I solved my own problem. The issue is with DM not V4.6. The DM is adding an extra "0" on the extender for NS however it will not show the extra "0" on the screen. I noticed this because I happen to use IT Tool and DM on a 7100 V4.53 and noticed that DM kept changing my NS203 to a NS0203. If you review\program with KMMC722 you will see the extra leading "0". I guess it wouldn't be a problem if you were using 4-digit extensions. Considering I'm not a huge fan of fixing the problem with KMMC I found that if I enter NS2030 instead of NS203 it will be incorrect however the button will work. Going to be my fix until Samsung can fix the NS bug in DM.
