Samsung OS7400:
The IT techs have questions that are above my ability to answer so I am hoping I can get some answers. Here is the abridged version:

They are trying to achieve a 'click to call' capability in a Linux environment. HE UNDERSTANDS THAT THE SAMSUNG ISN'T COMPATIBLE WITH LINUX and is trying to utilize something he referred to as API, wherein he create his own commands to instruct the system to do certain things. In this case, extension 222 clicks on a phone number so the system dials the number AND 222 and connects the end parties.

He would like to know how to give and recieve the data i.e. what language does the system need in order to make that happen?

Please assist if you can.

Punch down all your damn pairs!..........(please).

TAPI is what you are looking for.

OpenTSP specifically is the samsung application you need.

From memory the OpenTSP userguide has some programming instructions in it

The Samsung CTI applications are indeed Windows based, but they are not necessary to do what you want - I've seen a third-party application https://www.northrivertechnologies.com/samsung.htm which interacts directly with Officeserv systems without the need for any Samsung CTI applications. (I've not used this, just seen it mentioned, probably on this forum).

Obviously they must be using the API available on the Officeserv, however I don't know if this is documented by Samsung, or if they used Wireshark to reverse-enngineer the protocol.
