We are looking at getting a new tester. Just wondering what everyone else is using. Currently using a Microtester. But need soemthing for Cat6. Any input would be appreciated. Currently considering the Lantek 6.

Microtest and Lantek are both good ---- a lot depends on the out put documentation you want or your customer requests.
The Wirescope system is good --- can be upgraded with accessories to do fiber.

We use the Microtest/Fluke Omniscanner2, which does Cat 6, and we also have the fiber modules. We like it. I used the Microtest Pentascanner before that. Both good products. I had tried an OLD Wavetech Cat 5 tester. Hated it, but I think that was because I was used to the Pentascanner at the time. That, and it was really OLD and archaic! I haven't really used anything else, so that's as far as my experience goes.

I use Test-Um's product LanScaper. It reads IP addresses. Works great and has a lot of other features. <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by TELCOM: We are looking at getting a new tester. Just wondering what everyone else is using.
