Anyone know if they make a bundled cable with up to at least 8 cat 5's in one bundle? I need to run 8 cat 5's up a cell tower so it will have to be outdoor and UV rated. I have found some 25 pair outdoor cat 5, but I don't want any splices on top of the tower for obvious reasons. All I could find in the bundled cables only had a max of 2 cat 5's along with coax or fiber. I may have to run 8 individual cat 5's but strapping all those down all the way up will be extremely labor intensive.

i know mohawk makes a good outdoor rated cat 5E cable. i don't know high your going but you could measure it up and cut 8 to length and strap them together and then strap them where you need support on the tower, just a thought

Or run the 25 pair into a weatherproof box at top and put splices/jacks in that, then use 4 pair from that to each device.
I agree with oobie, just make darn sure how long the cables need to be before you cut. Don't worry about strapping them together until you have them connected at top, then strap and secure as you go down.

I would sure put it in conduit on a tower. For lightning and UV.A Tower can be the easiest pipe run you will ever do.

If I use fiber I presume I would need some type of converter at the top to swap it back over then I would need 120v on top to power the converters and thier radios.

Power over ethernet up a tower? Sounds very much like you should take the previous suggestion and run yourself some conduit up there. You are going to attract lightning like trailer homes attract tornados.

I believe the bulk cable you are searching for can be found at www.cyberxlink.com.
