Anybody ever use it?</font> The company I work for is a contractor for DirecTV, and they use a ton of it. I would assume it's reasonable quality, but if you're in doubt go with Commscope or another big name. The purchasing department provided us with some "Condumex" Cat5e recently, and it was complete junk. Flimsy jacket, brittle wires, etc. Live and learn. We now specify a brand name and model for all component purchases.

Hey, UpstateNetworks.....I am surprised to hear that the Mexican cable you got was junk! We have used some of their outside plant cable (which I thought was really good stuff) and their Quad (JK) wire, which was OK. I thought it would be cheaper in cost, but it was comparable. This probably means that the distributor was making a little bit more money from it. I can't imagine cable made in Mexico is very expensive but transportation might be adding a bit of a chunk onto the bottom line I guess.

The purchasing guy has a reputation for finding "deals". Don't get me started on the "Surge Suppressors" he bought. Several fried themselves when initially plugged into a wall outlet. One conveniently took down a 3Com NBX V3000 2 weeks after it was installed in one of our remote offices. We couldn't figure out why the system would only partially boot. After 2 days of remote diagnostics, we had to pay a 3Com engineer to visit the site. The diagnosis? A flaky surge suppressor! Sometimes paying for quality up front is actually cheaper.

Yeah, Upstate, I know what you mean, as is noted in my signature.
When I want good "deals" on this stuff, I go to e-bay and buy the brand-name stuff that is overstock, etc.
Buying anything new at a really good price usually indicates that there's something wrong with it.
This is exactly the way I feel about "punch down" outside plant protectors. We just serviced a prison today that sustained a major lightning strike last night and every one of the "cheaper" punch-down protectors was literally blown off the wall (you know the kind, the 66 block with plug-in modules that fits on an 89B bracket). They are such crap, yet they are cheaper than installing a real building entrance terminal and the low bid wins. The arc literally jumped across the adjacent pins on a 66 block! There was no way the modules could handle it. If we have to resort to low bid, lowest cost material, we just don't bid the job at all. It's not worth the headaches.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
