NEC Code use to be that any OSP cable could only enter a bldg of a maximum of 50 feet unless in was in Metal conduit. Does anyone know if that has changed to include ANY type of conduit??

No, it still has to be in metallic conduit. If it's fiber cable, there are plenty of "indoor-outdoor" cables that are even available in plenum-rated, but as for copper, it's more of a lightning/fire protection issue so I don't see that requirement ever changing.
