Hello, I am a newbie and not an expert, so please bear with me... I work for a small church who has the Comdial DX-80. I am working with other volunteer "tech support" to try to get a routing box issue resolved.
We had a problem with routing box 801 not routing when you dialed certain numbers. It took me a while to get to the issue, so someone else came in behind me and just deleted the routing box (intending to rebuild it).
However, now that the routing box has been deleted, it will not let me call in to the Supervisor's Menu. When I do Intercom 157, it rings and hangs up.
Please someone help!! We do not have the ability to access via the computer currently, but could potentially make that happen if there is no other way to fix this (is there special software I would need to download).
Thanks for the help!!
PS- We are trying to avoid the cost of hiring someone to come out, we only need this system to work for a few more years.

Change the time on your phone system to reflect day mode and the 801 won't answer..Then you should be good to go.

I even changed the time on the phone so it looks like it is AM when it is really PM.

Press your voice mail key on your set and see if your personal greeting answers.

Nope, it does the same thing as when you press Intercom 157.

You're probably going to need to call in a pro. There are plenty in your area.

Must've made everything hit 801 instead of 800 when calls come into the voicemail. Call in someone comdial certified and just have them hook up and do it. It will take 30 minutes from walking in the door to walking out of the door if they know what they're doing and depending on how much you use in the VM. For 40-80 dollars I think that that's not very much to cover "just a few years".

Just wanted to let you know I fixed it. I guess the system knew what time it was, even though we were trying to trick it. I waited until the morning and was able to access the Supervisor's menu and add back box 801. Now to just fix the routing issues.
Thanks again for the ideas and help!!

Yes the VM runs off of a time table and has a spot that defines what box plays when.
