We are using about 80% cat6 now in the jobs we do. But a large percentage of what we do is government and schools, both of which build for the future.

The problem I have with the new cat6 10 gig stuff is that it is HEAVY! With cat5e, I could man the boxes and pull out 35 or so cables per pull. Now with say Siemens 10 gig or Berk-tek 10 gig the wire is so thick and heavy with that center separator that I can at most pull 20, but usually only 12 -16 cables at a time.
