RG59 has a lighter wire gauge than RG6/11/500 cable.

RG59 typically sports a 20awg conductor
RG6 typically has an 18awg conductor
RG11 is typically 14awg
Hardline coax typically has a .109" conductor

For customers using cable{Comcast} in my area, old RG59 will not support internet cable modems, but will work fine for tv. 90% copper shield or so for good cable. RG6 and your good to go either way.I wired a site and added a drop of old stock RG 59 and had to replace, now just stock RG6.-------John
