I've never hear of grounding a 66 block, unless you're talking about the protectors that bridge accross the 66M150, those have a ground bar.

He may be talking about grounding the unused pairs of cable that are picking up noise. It been awhile, mostly older equip. Commoned all unused pairs and sent to ground.

OK, if that's what he meant, as you said just loop the jumper to all unused pair and run to ground. You don't need a big gound wire as you're just bleeding off induction.
