I'm a newbee to telecom and would like to know how I can setup two lineswith 5 extension phone system.

The phone line is from VONAGE and I have already ran the cables from each room to the central point.

Now, I need to know the simplest way to connect two lines to 5 extensions. Each phone has two line input option.

Thanks for any help

What type of cables have you run? Do the phone have 2 ports for C.O lines or one plug that handles both? Do you have any 66 blocks installed?

Short of the story....need some more info.

Thanks for the response rage. I have run cat5e and phones have two ports for C.O. I haven't bought any 66 blocks as yet...the cables are still hanging loose i.e. unconnected at this moment at the central point.

Actually, I need to know more about 66 blocks. how they are connected and how they actually function.

Help pls.

Welcome Ayub,

We don't normally install 66 blocks on new installs here in Canada.

You should install a BIX10C frame. This is a 50 pair BIX block which will accomodate 2 wafers.
Top wafer for your incoming lines and bottom for your station cabling that you did.
Use a BIX1A4 wafer for your station cables (this will allow 6 stations of 4 pair).

If this is over your head, you should probably hire a local wiring interconnect to do this work for you. They will carry this equipment with them.
